I have been using SAMARIS for the past 8 years since its inception. Prior to SAMARIS everything was recorded manually on paper, which made it very time consuming from retrieving the information to actioning the work request and finally adding the charges for the jobs done into the Trust Accounting system. SAMARIS simplified the whole process and has been a fantastic management tool, as it would be for any resort or maintenance department.

SAMARIS gives the apartment operator the ability to control and maintain recoveries and maintenance and certainly forms in line with why our industry is so dynamic to be involved with strata title management. Since we commenced using SAMARIS in November 2008, the recoveries and maintenance returns at Grand Mercure Docklands have never been so strong. I am comfortable that this area of the business is being taken care of with SAMARIS allowing me to concentrate my time on areas that will grow the business. SAMARIS has also allowed us to provide maintenance services to the Owners Corporation (Body Corporate) with the SAMARIS Body Corporate Module to record such activities and issue invoices to the Body Corporate at the click of a mouse. We are able to issue purchase orders directly to our suppliers in seconds within the SAMARIS Inventory Management Module. The SAMARIS Owners Management Module is a fantastic management tool allowing me to keep track of all owners discussions in one central location, which builds a history of owners discussion over time. SAMARIS has been in this resort for some time now, in excess of 5 years. SAMARIS has provided over that period a very serious tool for managing maintenance costs and on charging said costs to apartment owners. The data entry into SAMARIS is a simple process. The whole SAMARIS package is geared for the purchase, identification of stock, stock control and total reporting then finally, the ‘on charging’ system. There is nothing left to chance here, even down to wage cost versus time spent to effectively manage maintenance staff wage costing. The process for importing the data to a PMS is simple, efficient and leaves the owners in no doubt when they receive their statement, of the item replaced and the cost to them. The self generated attendant spread sheets within SAMARIS are a great tool and allow for monthly comparisons and the ability to identify trends and costs in your resort, at any stage during the process.
